What are the WHO age-friendly city domains?
WHO's age-friendly cities approach groups city life into eight connected areas: outdoor spaces and buildings, transportation, housing, social participation, respect and social inclusion, civic participation and employment, communication and information, and community support and health services.
The eight domains
The domains describe the physical environment (outdoor spaces, transport, housing), the social environment (participation, respect and inclusion, civic participation and employment) and access to information and services (communication, community support and health services).
