What is healthy ageing?

Healthy ageing is the process of developing and maintaining the functional ability that enables wellbeing in older age (WHO, World report on ageing and health, 2015).

More than being free of disease

Many older people live with one or more conditions yet still do the things they value. Healthy ageing focuses on that ability, supported by the right environment.
